The Parish Council along with local residents, has been concerned for some time, that services at the Grassmoor Surgery were being run down in favour of services provided from the Clay Cross Surgery. This includes difficulty in booking appointments, lack of doctor cover and flu jabs generally being booked from Clay Cross. As a result of these concerns, the Parish Council have written to Royal Primary Care to seek an explanation for the apparent reduced service and also to seek assurances over the future of the surgery in Grassmoor. Royal Primary Care have responded to state that the changes in the service provided in Grassmoor were purely as a result of the Covid-19 situation and that these measures were put in place to safeguard both patients and staff. They have also assured the Parish Council that there are no plans to close the Surgery.
