As you will no doubt be aware, this Sunday, 8 November is Remembrance Sunday and the Parish Council would usually organise a Service in Barnes Park. However, owing the Covid pandemic and the resulting Government restrictions, it is simply not possible to organise a public service this year. To mark the event however, the Parish Council has recorded a shortened version of the service in Barnes Park. The video will be uploaded on to the Council’s Facebook page on Sunday morning for you to view should you so wish. Please click here for the link to the Facebook page.
Usually, the Service provides an opportunity for you to place a wreath or a small cross at the War Memorial in Barnes Park. Please feel free to still do this at a time convenient to you and whilst maintaining social distancing. The Parish Council will ensure that the wreaths are secured to the Memorial railings as we usually do.
